Did you know that some states provide tax incentives or benefits for farmers?

Some of these benefits may be helpful to your mushroom growing business so we did a little leg work researching this for you.

Often in addition to normal business tax exemptions, there are added tax benefits and programs that can offer further tax savings when you qualify.

Most programs require a form to be completed that explains your exemption qualifications others are more direct and are for the tax credit itself.

You may also want to see if your mushroom farm qualifies for an agricultural exemption. All 50 States have one so it is worth contacting a tax professional or at least doing your homework.

In this article from Forbes Magazine, you can read more about this and other discounts on taxes that may be available.

In fact, the exemptions are so vast that you could write several books on the topic alone.

Important Update for Texas

We want to advise our friends in the Mushroom Business that in order to use the form from Texas you must have the AG/Timber registration completed.
