Online Food Ordering Systems for Mushroom Farms

A good number of Mushroom Farmers are looking for local delivery solutions. Each one is looking for Online Ordering For Mushroom Farms. They want an app or a feature on their website that allows customers to order fresh food locally and set up delivery, or pickup.

So, I thought I would do some research and ask around about several services for you.

In no particular order, here is a list of popular services.

Woo Commerce

Right on your WordPress website, you can use Woo Commerce to take orders. People using their phones can use this system as well. With this free plugin, you can accept payments via PayPal, Square, and many other providers. This does not require that you make an app or use a separate application because your website can be made mobile-ready.

For most growers, this is likely the best fit.

Their site says they offer a free solution for your restaurant. Since you and I know you do not have a restaurant but you do supply fresh food, I made inquiries into their free plan.

It turns out if you want to accept payments with credit cards (which kind of seems like the point) then you have to pay monthly for their service like most other platforms.

https://restolabs.com/

This company offers a lower cost to entry than others, but a similar monthly cost. Monthly costs start at $49 but move up sharply.

https://get.chownow.com/

Chow Now offers website ordering and making a branded app for your business. But the monthly charges start at $149 after a $399 set up fee, then scale down to $99 a month if you sign up and pay for 2 years at a time.

https://www.zuppler.com/

This company offers two basic payment formats. Restaurants can choose a flat fee of $129 per month or a pay-as-you-go plan, which costs 9% per transaction. Their site also points to special plan pricing because of COVID-19.

https://www.grubhub.com/

Grub Hub charges for its services based on the volume of orders you receive. Getting approved for food delivery may be harder than just the ordering process. But you can always contact them to get an idea of the costs.

There are certainly hundreds of other suppliers we could look at. If someone knows a great one let us know, and we can look into it, and add it to this post. For most suppliers, just using the shopping cart available in woo commerce may work well. It would also have little or no expense other than the credit card processing charged by your chosen vendor/supplier like PayPal, Square, or others.
