This is a great overview of the some of the world’s most significant scientific experiments and successes in Mycology with several leading experts of the field. Super Fungi shows many unexpected ways humans and their environment continue to benefit from the information fungi has given us upon observation and experimentation, in totally unrelated fields of study one wouldn’t automatically expect. Yet the film still leaves much of the mystery to be discovered as we continue experimenting with fungi into the future –in which it seems perhaps any problem could be solved by a certain strain of mycelium!
Every human would get something inspirational out of watching this short documentary.

What a wonderful video. Who knew that the lowly multicolored film blanketing the top of the forgotten container of tomato sauce lost in the back of the refrigerator was a member of such an interesting class of creatures? Neither animal nor plant, fungi live in a world of their own making. They can and do enrich life on this planet in amazing ways. I learned a lot, and I’m excited to hear about some of the research ongoing that can lessen our dependence of fossil fuels or chemical fertilizers. Well done. I love the Xive documentaries a great deal. Some of the best I’ve seen!

Excellent documentary. It is truly gratifying to think that the earth might already produce the very solutions to the problems that man grapples with and that they need only be brought to light. To think that Penicillin which has helped so many comes from melon fungus. I hope man is smart enough to pursue this avenue of potential solutions
