The thing to do is to take a ton of notes. Even if you hate writing things down stop and do it. If I was starting a mushroom farm tomorrow the first thing I would get is several clipboards and some legal pads and pens. It is that important, it should be your first step. Think of this part of your business as if you are part scientist. You need to take notes and learn as your grow and work towards continuous improvement.
